A Journey of Resilience: From the First Attempt to Success
This achievement did not happen overnight. In December 2022, wiLearn 4 Life made its first attempt to introduce digital learning to the Nuba Mountains. The initiative began by building the capacity of one local teacher, equipping him with a portable learning kit.
That included a digital library and solar-powered devices. However, just as the project began to take root, the outbreak of war in Sudan disrupted communication and access to the region. Despite losing contact with the teacher, the mission did not end—it became a call to persevere.
Guided by faith partnerships and renewed determination, wiLearn 4 Life re-envisioned its approach. The current deployment marks a second and successful attempt, expanding from one individual to an entire network of schools and communities across the Nuba Mountains.
Bridging the Divide with Solar-Powered Smart Learning Kits
The deployment included a comprehensive set of solar-powered smart mobile learning tools thoughtfully designed for off-grid and low-resource environments. The setup included:

wiLearn x ACP Nuba Mountains
The success of this mission hinged on collaboration and shared vision. wiLearn 4 Life partnered with Action for Christians under Persecution (ACP) Nuba Mountains, a local organization providing social care and basic education to marginalized communities in Southern Kordofan.
Through this partnership, a strong bridge was built between local humanitarian efforts and global educational innovation. The digital library and associated resources were donated by Swiss contributors, dedicated as a gift to the Nuba Mountains community through ACP.
Learning Beyond Limits
The initiative empowers schools and learners with world-class educational materials without dependence on the Internet. Beneficiaries include ROH Secondary School and surrounding primary schools, with open community access allowing learners of all ages to benefit from the digital library.

True transformation in education goes beyond technology—it starts with people. To ensure sustainable impact, wiLearn 4 Life hosted an intensive 3-day teacher training workshop from 9th–11th October in Nairobi.
