Q1 2023 Founded

AHAINNOVATE LTD is born

Founded in Nairobi with a single mission: ensure geography does not dictate a child's access to quality education. The idea - a rugged, offline device that brings a full digital school to any classroom, anywhere.

Q1 2023 First Pilot

AHA-Kits reach the first classrooms

Pilot AHA-Kits installed in schools across Nairobi and Kajiado counties. The offline LMS launched with real-time learner analytics. Teachers tracked quiz scores, lesson completions, and time-on-task for the first time.

Q2 2023 First External Investment

$5,000 from Founders Factory Africa

Secured our first external investment — $5,000 from Founders Factory Africa. A pivotal moment that validated our commercial potential and opened the door to the startup ecosystem.

Q2 2025 Mastercard Foundation Grant

Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship

Awarded grant funding from the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship to develop and deploy the AHA-Kit at scale. This validation accelerated product development and enabled our first formal school partnerships.

Q3 2025 Solar Hardware & Scale

40 solar devices. 4,896 learners.

40 solar-capable devices deployed, removing the electricity barrier for rural classrooms. 13 partner schools active across Nairobi, Kajiado, and Turkana. 188 educators trained. 55% female enrollment.

Target: 10,000 learners

Our next major milestone — reaching 10,000 cumulative learners by end of 2026. Expanding to new counties, launching disability-inclusive modules, and building the infrastructure to scale across East Africa.
